This is one of many software programs that allow you to capture parts of your screen to use in documents etc. For example, I intend to use it for screenshots in a software user manual I will be writing shortly.
Previously I had been using the print screen button on the keyboard and pasting into Paint or a Word document to edit and crop. Here are a few tips on the print screen keyboard button if you’ve never used it before:
- To capture full monitor screen – simply press print screen
- To capture the active window – press alt key then print screen (holding both down)
- To capture the active window in a MDI application such as MS Access press alt gr then print screen (holding both down)
